Vampire Stalker by Allison Van Diepen
I give this 4 out of 5 stars.
Have you every fallen for a fictional character? Amy has. She is in love with a vampire hunter from one of her favorite series Otherworld named Alexander Banks. A few days after the newest book from the series comes out, Amy is attacked by a strange young man and then saved by an Alexander look alike. Amy does not believe that this man could be The Alexander Banks, but he proceeds to show her all of his scars from his vampire run ins which makes her believe him. And the man who attacked her happens to be the infamous Vigo who is the leader of the vampires. Somehow they have traveled through a portal into Amy's dimension. Now Alexander must kill Vigo once and for all before Amy's world becomes infested with vampires like Alexander's is. Amy's feelings for Alexander seem to grow after meeting him in person, but once the deed has been completed Alexander must leave before the portal closes or else he will never be able to go back.
This was a very interesting book. I have never read anything quite like this. Even though some parts could have been written a little better, I loved the idea of this book. I agree with the author that some books just feel very real unlike others. It's all about the little details given to the characters to make readers fall in love wit; however, this book doesn't have those details to make me fall in love with the characters, but Van Diepen did do her research in adding a detailed explanation on how Alexander was able to cross into Amy's world and how the author of Otherworld was able to tap into the minds of those from Alexander's world. Overall I liked this book because of the idea behind it. If it didn't have this interesting twist; then, this book would not be very good.
